With a focus on local textiles and handlooms and re-inventing
traditional cuts, silhouettes and styles, this fashion week was all about
bringing out modern appeal and functionality while keeping the heart of culture
secure. Manish Malhotra, during his masterclass told us that more and more
brides are approaching him, asking him to create an outfit that would both
please their in-laws during the ritual part of the wedding and then appeal to
their senses post the departure of their in-laws—so that they can dance their
way to one memorable wedding. There’s nothing more interesting to see than to
witness the bride enjoy her wedding more than the guests. So, we’ve got you our
